EXPERIENCE IS VITAL WHEN PREPARING FOR A CAREER. THAT’S WHY, WHEN UEA PIONEERED A NEW KIND OF TEACHING, IT INSPIRED WIDESPREAD CHANGE IN PHARMACY EDUCATION. AS ONE OF THE TOP PHARMACY SCHOOLS IN THE COUNTRY FOR STUDENT EXPERIENCE, UEA LEADS THE WAY IN PREPARING STUDENTS FOR LIFE AFTER UNIVERSITY.
The Pharmacy School at UEA was founded by a group of leading pharmacists who wanted to change the way the subject is taught.
They created an innovative degree programme that produces graduates with a wealth of real-world experience, and inspired widespread change in Pharmacy education.
UEA were the first to:
- Give students a heavy dose of professional experience, from first year placements to portfolio assessments.
- Give students a more practical and expansive experience, through Problem-based Learning and Interprofessional Learning.
- Give students the support they need to succeed, through extensive careers advice and in-depth research projects.
Universities across the UK have since followed our lead, but we remain one of the strongest Schools for student experience in the country, ranking first in the NSS for 6 of the last 9 years.
