My name is Alice Ocraft, I'm from Surrey and I'm studying BSc Economics.
I chose to come to UEA, because firstly, I liked the course. UEA specialises in Behavioural Economics and that has always been my favourite area - the human side. Then when I came to visit all the lecturers were incredibly friendly and I felt this sense of attachment to UEA so quickly. It just felt like somewhere I belonged from the first visit.
My favourite module has definitely been Behavioural economics. I love looking into the real side of economics; beyond the theory and into how people actually behave in the real world. I find it fascinating, and I now notice when I show the behaviours we get taught about.
While everyone was super friendly at the open day, I could never have imagined how amazing the community at UEA, and within the School of Economics would be. I'm usually quite a shy person who enjoys being a wallflower, but I've found myself wanting to get involved in the community so much!
I am a part of the Neurodivergent society, and I really enjoy chatting to them. Norwich also has a really cool indoor crazy golf place that I enjoy going to with my friends!
