What have you been up to since you graduated?

After graduating, I started volunteering with Trias Consult as business development volunteer. Three months into my volunteering, I was involved in projects with the World Food Programme which gave me an opportunity to showcase my skills. Since then I was involved in a couple of more projects with UNOPS and World Bank. All these projects made my CV strong and in January 2026 I landed a job in my country in ESG sector. I had wanted to diversify my CV and this opportunity came in at the right time.

What was your ambition for your career when you started at UEA? Did you have a specific career path in mind?

When I started at UEA, I wanted to build a career in the development sector and expected a smooth transition into a role soon after graduating. However, due to the global situation at the time, the job market was more challenging than I had anticipated which led me to volunteer. But it all turned out well!

Tell me about your experiences studying at UEA?

That one year at UEA was one of the best years of my life. I made friends from all corners of the world, got to experience different cultures, food, stories and what not. Professors were always so kind and supportive which made a huge difference. I found out about UEA through education consultants and I really liked how the course was designed and that's what actually made me choose UEA. It's honestly difficult to pick the best days because it felt like I was living my best day almost every day ??

Has your degree influenced your career?

Yes, definitely. My degree definitely played a role in shaping my career. It not only gave me knowledge but also helped me build important skills like critical thinking, communication, and adaptability. Studying in such a diverse environment also made me see things from different perspectives, made me confident and more outgoing, which has been really helpful, especially since I'm a bit introvert and the nature of classes- group discussions and working together has definitely helped me get out of my shell. My Professors, especially Uli, always mentioned the importance of networking and I followed that and it actually led me to where I am today.

What personal or professional achievement are you most proud of?

I am proud of the person I have become and all the experiences I have gained along the way. They have definitely shaped me into a more confident and grounded person. Moving to a new country and pushing myself out of my comfort zone, building connections, figuring out everything on my own, and growing both personally and professionally is something I am really proud of.

Is there any advice you would give to current students, wishing to follow a similar career path to you?

I'd say what Uli (my professor) always told me, "be open to everything". And I feel that's the perfect recipe for growth. Say yes to things, step out of your comfort zone, and don't limit yourself too early. You never know what might lead you to the right opportunity, and being open can eventually lead you towards your goal.
