Research activity in the School has been well established around key themes and areas of expertise that continue to grow and develop.

However, we are continually developing new areas of social work research and are consolidating our interdisciplinary links across the University.
We have already benefited from opportunities to collaborate with other social policy researchers across the UEA. For example we have developed links with researchers in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences such as Health Economists Professor Ruth Hancock and Dr Marcello Morciano and medical sociologist and disability specialist Prof Tom Shakespeare, and (within the Faculty of Social Science) Prof Sara Connolly from the Norwich Business School.
