What appealed to you about your Fellowship?

The excellent reputation of the NIHR fellowships appealed to me along with the extended support and guidance offered to trainees. The ability to combine clinical work with developing research skills and maintaining a full salary was a very attractive prospect to me at this stage in my career.

How's it going so far?

It is challenging to juggle clinical work along with the multiple commitments and projects associated with the fellowship, however, under the guidance of my supervisors I have developed my confidence and autonomy in planning and running clinical trials and observational studies.

What’s life at UEA like?

Norwich is a great city to live, work and study in. It has so much to offer and is a very friendly place.

Any advice for would-be-Fellows?

Build your supervisory team based on what they can bring to your project and fellowship based on their knowledge and expertise in the field but also consider supervisors who you work well with and can build a solid and successful professional relationship with.
