Pharmacy lecturers talk about careers
In March, lecturers from the school of Pharmacy have continued to give talks in schools about Pharmacy.
Dr Zoe Waller, lecturer in Chemical Biology, travelled down to Ipswich to give a talk at Ipswich High School for Girls during Science week. Her talk was about the development of Taxol, detailing the different aspects of Pharmacy as a subject. Dr Lesley Howell, lecturer in Medicinal Chemistry, travelled to London to give a talk at Bexley Grammar School on the profession of Pharmacy, The MPharm course at UEA and possible career paths. She also participated in the careers fair where she was spoke to students about going to university and studying science.
Zoe said “I was pleased that the students had lots of questions after my talk, I think it is important to raise awareness of what Pharmacy is about for those who are interested in Sciences and healthcare as career options”.
