Student Support Service

The Student Support Service at UEA provides students and staff with support for a wide range of academic and health issues. Visit

The UEA has an on-site Nursery available to staff and students. See their website for more information. We have a family room in the basement of the Elizabeth Fry Building which is fitted out for nursing mothers. To access this room contact the Hub in the EFB on 01603 597578.

Flexible Working Employees who are parents caring for children under 16 (or 18 if the child is disabled), or those who are a carer for an adult, are entitled to request flexibility in their working pattern. We support requests for flexible working from all staff wherever possible. Click here for more information.

Returning to work after illness

Following a period of ill health, we offer support for returning to work. This may include access to a phased return, short term amendments to duties or working hours, or adjustments to the physical environment. For more information visit Occupational Health Services.

Pharmacy Staff Members

There is tailored support for female staff across the Norwich Research Park. For more information visit the RESNET website.

Mentorship external to Pharmacy is available through the University Centre for Staff and Educational Development – visit the CSED website.

Research Associates

We provide support and mentoring for Research Associates. This is delivered by research teams and the Staff Research Forum.
