FLY is the annual University of East Anglia's Festival of Literature for Young People FLY is the annual University of East Anglia's Festival of Literature for Young People

FLY took place on 8 - 12 July 2013.

It is for everyone aged 11-17, whether you have a passion for poetry or prose, song lyrics or sci-fi, blogs or graphic novels, whether you are a book worm or have never really got into books.

There are also lots of events during the Festival for teachers and school librarians beginning with a full-day conference on Monday 8 July. This conference will include inspirational and innovative workshops and readings that will send you back to your schools with a wealth of new ideas. The day, which has been sponsored by Norwich Institute for Language Education, will also provide you with a great opportunity for networking and to share ideas with other professionals from around the region. FLY is a brand new event for both City and County as well as for Schools throughout England. Norwich has recently become England's first UNESCO City of Literature while the Creative Writing Programme at the University of East Anglia, here in Norwich, is celebrated worldwide.
