Intercultural communication and its application to professional environments Intercultural communication and its application to professional environments

Our Intercultural and Interdisciplinary Studies research group breaks new ground in interdisciplinary and academic/public sphere collaboration. Our research is focused on intercultural communication in UK contexts with strong outcomes in change implementation (Baines, Filipović, Guillot, Musolff, Pounds, de Pablos-Ortega).

The group also provides a unique UK location for research on environmental justice, ecology and land in American culture (Smith, Tillett), for explorations in national, global and transnational communication (Churchwell, Bigsby), in transatlantic poetry networks, experimental poetics and environmentalism (Garland, Hair, Selby, Mistri) and US intellectual and diplomatic history (Smith, Tillett).

Research from this group has developed local partnerships with Norwich City Football Club (Baines), Norfolk Constabulary (Filipović, de Pablos-Ortega, Guillot, Musolff, Pounds) Norwich City Council, regional community interpreting services, and Norfolk Black History Association (Fraser et al).
