Enhancing security through efficient policing workshop, held on 4 November 2015 at UEA

The event consisted of briefings, talks and practical activities based on real-life case studies and the programme included:

1. Project Presentation: Translation and Communication in Training (TACIT)

UEA in collaboration with the Norfolk Constabulary and with endorsement from the National Investigative Interviewing Steering Group.

Title: What can we learn from an analysis of real-life police interviews: Empirical findings for an interview toolkit.

2. Two interactive talks by

Michael R. Napier, FBI Supervisory Special Agent (Retired); an expert on interview and interrogation, whose work resulted in some of the most important criminal convictions in the US.

3. Project presentation: Public perceptions of counter-terrorism:Implications for security and citizenship

Lee Jarvis (UEA) and Michael Lister (Oxford Brookes University)

4. Roundtable discussion
