June 2026
IMPEDE-PKD is now open to recruitment at 27 sites across all four devolved nations in the UK! 🥳 20 participants have been randomised onto the treatment phase of the trial and 61 consented in total💪
We look forward to keeping the momentum going into the summer!
March 2026
The first participant completed the 12 week run-in phase and was randomised onto the treatment phase of the trial at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust 🎉 A total of 3 participants have now been randomised. Congratulations to the site teams in reaching this milestone.
35 participant have now been enrolled into the trial in total across 15 sites.
20 sites across the UK are now open to recruitment and a further 22 sites are in the process of setup.
January 2026
We begin 2026 with 9 participants enrolled and 12 sites open to recruitment. We look forward to opening more sites and recruiting as many participants as possible as the year progresses.
December 2025
10 sites are now open to recruitment including the first site in Northern Ireland.
A total of 3 participants have been consented so far and are now taking part in the run-in phase of the trial.
November 2025
We are excited to announce that IMPEDE-PKD is open to recruitment! 🎉
Five sites are now open! Congratulations to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, University Hospitals Plymouth, Bradford Teaching Hospitals, Royal Devon University Healthcare, and University Hospitals of Leicester on being the first to open. Many thanks to all involved in reaching this milestone.
We hope to open several more sites to recruitment before the end of the year.
August 2025
We're thrilled to announce that the IMPEDE-PKD Trial has completed it's first Site Initiation Visit with Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust 🎉
We are looking forward to starting the site activation process with more sites and commencing the trial 😊
