cardiac physiology

Our mission is to deliver imaging-based clinical solutions through advanced cardiac MRI, discovering and unravelling the complexities of cardiac physiology. With a strong emphasis on cardiovascular physiological assessment, discovery science, and mechanistic understanding, we integrate artificial intelligence to refine automated analysis and develop physiological models to improve precision medicine. Our ultimate goal is to create a paradigm shift in cardiac physiology, enabling a better understanding of heart disease for early detection, diagnosis, and monitoring to improve outcomes.

    Co-Principal Investigator: Dr Gareth Matthews

I joined 4D Lab in 2022 and serve as Co-PI under the mentorship of Dr Garg. I completed my PhD at the University of Cambridge in basic science, on arrhythmia mechanisms and risk prediction. I completed the Academic Clinical Fellow programme in translational science on non-contact 3D mapping of atrial fibrillation at the Royal Papworth and I am now an NIHR funded Clinical Lecturer at UEA.
