Form G

Form G is the easiest form you’ll have to do – and I know that will come as a relief. It’s a one-liner! 

What’s the form G for? 

The form G is a notice of response to the notice of hearing. It’s about whether you are in a position to combine the first and second hearings as we discuss on our hearings page.

• If you can combine them, you say that you WILL be in a position to proceed with the Financial Dispute Resolution Appointment. 

• If you still don’t have essential information you need, then you write ‘WILL NOT’. 

You then explain briefly why not. This could be something like ‘The respondent has not completed his form E’ or ‘The value of the business is an important asset and I seek a valuation before being able to negotiate’. 

Our template 

Form G is sent out by the court with the issued form A and notice of hearing. It will already have your case number, names, and court dates on it. However, we have a template blank one for you to use if you lose yours. 

If you have to complete the blank one be sure to add your case number and your names in the right hand boxes. The applicant is whoever filed the form A. Where it says ‘the marriage of’ put the names of you and your ex. You then add the court date.  

We’ve left the default time of the hearing as 10am as that is usual in Norwich but you’d better check that by looking at your notice of hearing.
