Summary

We are interested in capturing images in the world that have a physical meaning. One example is trying to capture colorimetric measures of colours (relevant to how people see colour) using a non-colorimetric camera [1] (such as the one in your smart phone). Relatedly, we are interested in designing filters and lights with respect to which it is easier to solve certain visual tasks [2]. Sensing outside the visible range - e.g. into the Infra Red - is another area of interest [3].
