Join us for the 52nd annual conference of the American Politics Group at the University of East Anglia. The keynote speaker will be Professor Angelia Wilson, whose research on the intersection of Christianity, conservatism, and politics will no doubt prove to be a timely topic for the conference.
The APG annual conference is a lively and convivial event that welcomes everyone with an interest in American domestic and international politics, political history, government, and society.
Today, the American political system, as we know it, appears under threat, not for the first time. We are witnessing a struggle between those who believe in the unitary presidency and those who push for greater congressional oversight of executive action. It feels as though the nation is in a moment of significance, and the world is watching with bated breath. The conference will consider a range of issues relating to the current US including, but not limited to, contemporary US political institutions or processes, elections, domestic policy, US foreign policy, and US political history.
