Discover UEA as a film location.
A compact campus offers diverse filming spaces at competitive prices for large and small projects.
Situated 15 minutes from the centre of the medieval city of Norwich, productions can access stately homes, architectural gems and ninety miles of dynamic coastline all within a 40-minute drive. Norwich International airport is just 15 minutes away, and other modes of public transport are easily accessible.
The campus maintains a similar style to London’s South Bank, Simon Fraser University, Canada and London Stansted Airport.
Over 350 acres of woodland and meadow, pathways, and rivers frame Brutalist architecture including Ziggurats and the Teaching Wall, designed by Denis Lasdun. These 1960s icons stand next to the glass and steel frame of Norman Foster’s Sainsbury Centre, which overlooks and reflects the surrounding landscape. Linked by glass bridges, spiral staircases and elevated concrete walkways, all sites are within 10-15 minutes’ walk of each other.
Discover additional teaching buildings offering styles including eco-modernism and neo futurism alongside 18th century charm, crisp architectural lines, glossy science labs and interiors both neutral and bold.
Facilities available include self-contained production area, crew parking, links to estate management, accommodation, catering and the support of a dedicated film coordinator. Helipad available by special arrangement.
Feature films, documentaries, fashion shoots and adverts are all welcome.
