Norwich Research Park

The Norwich Research Park is a partnership between the University of East Anglia, the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, and four independent research centres; the John Innes Centre, the Institute of Food Research, the Sainsbury Laboratory and The Genome Analysis Centre. With over 10,000 people the Norwich Research Park has one of Europe's largest single-site concentrations of research in Health, Food and Environmental Sciences.

John Innes Centre (JIC)

The JIC is an independent, international centre of excellence in plant science and microbiology.

Institute of Food Research (IFR)

The Institute of Food Research is a not-for-profit company with charitable status. It is an Institute of the Biotechnology & Biological Sciences Research Council and is the UK's only integrated basic science provider focused on food.

The Sainsbury Laboratory

The Sainsbury Laboratory (TSL) is located at the John Innes Centre (JIC) in Norwich. The Laboratory favours daring, long-term research and is housed in a modern building with access to state of the art technologies and support services to enable cutting-edge science.

The Genome Analysis Centre (TGAC)

The Genome Analysis Centre (TGAC) is a national genomics and bioinformatics centre, specialising in sequencing and in bioinformatics for analysis and interpretation of genomic and associated data.

NRP Innovation Centre

The NRP Innovation Centre has over 30 office and laboratory suites, designed and fitted out to the highest standards for businesses involved in all aspects of science, technology and support services, including food, health, environmental sciences, bioscience, DNA technologies, pharmaceutical, clean energy, IT, software development and sustainable raw materials for industry.

Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital

Located adjacent to the University, the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides the best possible acute hospital care for a tertiary catchment area of up to 822,500 people.
