The DoorMate has been designed to assist in getting through doors without having to interact directly with potentially contaminated surfaces. This helpful device has surfaces dedicated to interacting with handles and all sizes of push buttons, allowing the user easy access through doorways. The design also includes an ergonomically shaped handle and a loop for attaching the device to a lanyard.
The DoorMate needs to be manufactured from high-grade materials as it will need to be cleaned thoroughly and frequently to avoid contamination.
During the current Covid-19 pandemic UEA Enterprises Limited is offering a free licence to the DoorMate (the image of the DoorMate, and the STL files relating to DoorMate) for the manufacture of the device by health and social care services, governments, research institutions and manufacturers supplying to these sectors.
