Emma Healey - Creative Writing graduate (2012)
In 2013, Emma was working in the marketing department at UEA when a bidding war broke out over her first novel, Elizabeth is Missing. Since then the book has been sold to 20 countries including China, Brazil and Turkey, been translated into 18 languages, and won the 2014 Costa First Novel Award.
The novel, which is a detective story voiced by narrator who is battling her own dementia, has received great reviews and is already appearing on recommended summer reading lists in magazines and newspapers, from the Guardian to Grazia. Watch Emma's story below.
