The media landscape is one of the most rapidly-changing of the 21st century. Our students value the critical and creative teaching on our degrees, and the workplace skills they develop. We offer opportunities for our students to undertake a variety of industry placements and internships, or to study abroad at one of our many partner institutions globally. There are also opportunities to develop your portfolio and showcase your talent by working on the university newspaper, radio station and television channel, and at Norwich's film festivals, including UEA’s annual Green Film Festival and Norwich Queer International Film Festival.
Our students are creative thinkers and they go on to work in a variety of creative roles across a range of industries. Some of our graduates work in film production, television, radio, social media and journalism, in the UK and all over the world. Many develop careers in advertising, marketing, public relations, communications, publishing, arts festivals or cultural heritage. Some stay on to study at postgraduate level, building skills for careers as in education, higher education and other cultural and media organisations. Our department supports our students to develop new technical skills and critical capabilities, future-proofed for new media platforms and technologies in a rapidly-changing workplace.
