Our calendar is packed with public events for you attend, support and take part in, including our annual Literary Festival, the Noirwich Crime Writing Festival, our Festival of Literature for Young People, and UEA Live where students can present their work alongside published authors.
Drama Studio
Our Drama Studio is a flexible theatre space right in the heart of campus, seating up to 200 and stocked with the latest technical theatre equipment.
British Centre for Literary Translation
We are known for our distinguished works of translation and translation theory, and we are home of the British Centre for Literary Translation, a major research centre devoted to the theory and practice of literary translation.
UEA Publishing Project
The UEA Publishing Project has been set up as an innovative and experimental university press. Our Publishing House currently has three main imprints: Boiler House Press , Strangers Press and Egg Box, our imprint that works with students.
We also collaborate with our Publishing House and the National Centre for Writing on New Writing, our home for creative writing news and new writing from our students, staff and alumni.
British Archive of Contemporary Writing
The British Archive of Contemporary Writing at UEA builds on our international reputation for creative writing and its strong links with acclaimed authors.
As well as Doris Lessing’s personal papers, the archive holds literary material from prize-winning authors including Malcolm Bradbury, JD Salinger, Roger Deakin, Lorna Sage, Nadine Gordimer and WG Sebald.
