Andy Stanford-Clark is an innovation leader in IBM Research, accelerating innovative and transformative technology projects with Clients. He is an IBM Distinguished Engineer, a Master Inventor with more than 45 patents, and leads IBM’s Quantum Computing ambassador team in the UK. Andy is based at IBM’s Hursley Park laboratories near Winchester, and has been working in the area we now call the Internet of Things for more than 25 years.
He has a BSc in Computing and Mathematics, and a PhD in Computer Science, both from UEA, where he is now an Honorary Professor in Computer Science. He is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Newcastle, an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southampton, and a Fellow of the British Computer Society.
