Barry is a machine learning researcher and manager in Machine Learning Research at Apple, based in Cupertino, California. He researches into compute- and data-efficient preference-based alignment of large language models. Barry has a first degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a PhD in Computer Science, both from UEA. Prior to joining Apple he was Senior Lecturer in the School of Computing Sciences, UEA.
