Personal and Professional Development

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities Personal and Professional Development programme offers training opportunities to support your research journey.

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities Personal and Professional Development programme for postgraduate researchers uses a competencies-based Training Pathway to help you to define your needs at all stages of your research. It offers an annual programme of formal and informal sessions across the Faculty and within your School.

You will be able to:

  • Design your own annual Personal and Professional Development (PPD) Plan with the advice of your supervisor/s.

Our programme is mapped to the Researcher Development Framework (2010) and structured around the following key themes:

  • Induction

  • Personal Qualities and Self-Management

  • Research Management

  • Professional and Career Development
