The Sainsbury Institute for the Study of Japanese Arts and Cultures (SISJAC) is supporting some fully funded places for the UEA International Summer School 2017 programme to applicants from Europe. 

Eligibility

  • Level: Undergraduate
  • International Summer School Module: Japan Orientation
  • Nationality: Europe (outside V4 countries)

What does it cover?

  • Full International Summer School fee. See what's included in the fee here.
  • Travel reimbursement of up to £250.
  • Lunch on weekdays when classes take place.
  • 4 week Norwich bus pass.
  • Academic field trips, including catering and transport.

How do I apply?

Please note that you must submit an application to UEA International Summer School before applying for a scholarship. 

  • Scholarship application deadline: The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 31 March 2017.

Terms and Conditions

By submitting this Application you are agreeing to notify the University should your circumstances change after a Scholarship place has been offered by the University and accepted by you, to enable other reserve Scholarship applicants to take advantage of the limited Scholarship places. Awarded scholars withdrawing from the programme may not be permitted to apply for subsequent scholarships. 

Scholarship applications will be judged on the basis of the supporting statement and we may also take into account academic merit and supporting references as provided in your application. The University’s decision is final. 

Scholarship Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by 28 April. Applicants who are unsuccessful in applying for a Scholarship may be offered a fee payer’s place at a discounted rate. Awarded Scholars are responsible for organising their own travel to and from the UK and associated visa, medical and travel insurance costs. Successful Scholars will be given a bursary to cover up to £250 of their travel costs, as well as a 4 week Norwich bus pass, lunches on weekdays when academic classes take place and academic field trips with transport and catering.
