Each year the UEA welcomes hundreds of international students who have chosen to move to the UK to study with us. We recognise the decision to do this comes at a financial cost and as such we offer 50 scholarships specifically for international undergraduate students to help cover the cost of your studies.
What scholarships do you offer?
We have two types of scholarship on offer:
Our Vice Chancellor Scholarship awards you with 50% off your tuition fees for each year you study with us on the course you first registered on.
Our International Undergraduate Scholarship awards you with 25% off your tuition fees for each year you study with us on the course you first registered on.
With both of these, if you leave the course you first registered on, then your scholarship will end.
Who is eligible for the International Undergraduate Scholarships?
To be classified as an international student you typically need to be a non-EU resident. Our fees and funding page has more details of who will pay international tuition fees and be eligible for these scholarships. If you are still in doubt then email our Planning Office who can advise you further.
When you apply you need to be in possession of a conditional or unconditional offer for year 1 of an undergraduate degree course starting at UEA in September 2017.
You need to be independently funding your studies, which means that you can’t apply if an organisation is sponsoring your study and paying your tuition fees for you. However, if you are getting a government loan you can still apply for the scholarships.
Please note, that applicants to courses in Norwich Medical School are not eligible to apply.
I’m eligible for the International Undergraduate Scholarships - how do I apply?
Once you have an offer of a place from us, please apply using the application form below.
You will then be assessed for all of the scholarships for which you are eligible. Please don’t apply if you don’t yet have a conditional or unconditional offer from us.
INTO UEA Students: INTO Staff will nominate INTO Foundation students for these awards. Only INTO UEA Newton students apply directly to us.
The closing date for scholarship applications is 1 June 2017, however scholarship panels are held every month so please get your application to us as soon as possible.
