Faculty of Science

The Faculty of Science is one of the largest faculties at UEA. We encourage innovation and excellence in our research-led teaching.

Our interdisciplinary research addresses many of society's grand challenges, and our focus on collaboration across the University and with our partner institutes in the Norwich Research Park is one of our strengths.

We provide a vibrant, dynamic and supportive environment for study and work.

Our seven Schools of study are committed to providing an intellectually challenging learning experience within a supportive educational environment.

Each School teaches and conducts research in a range of discipline specific areas as well as offering multidisciplinary programmes to train a new generation of experts to find solutions in science.

Our research strengths are wide-ranging, thanks to the variety of our research groups and centres on campus. These include the Climatic Research Unit, Wolfson Materials and Catalyst Centre, Biophysical Chemistry Group and Cancer Studies Group.

The University has also established the Eastern Academic Research Consortium (Eastern ARC) with the Universities of Essex and Kent. Eastern ARC will continue to build on our existing research and partnership activities.

We are also part of the Aurora Network, a network of European Universities, united by our commitment to build a different kind of inclusive university community.
