We work closely with the University Careers Centre and, together with our Academic Careers Adviser, we will help students to choose their career path and develop their employability skills.

Our psychology students develop a unique range of skills relating to communication, data handling, critical analysis and people skills which make them highly employable in a range of careers. School activities provide opportunities for career development embedded in the course and additional extracurricular activities. The UEA Careers and Employability Service also supports students to reflect on their skills and aspirations and relate these to potential careers. They also give advice and run invaluable workshops on finding vacancies, interview techniques and how you can write your CV effectively for job or higher-degree applications.

PsychX

PsychX is a range of extracurricular activities which we coordinate to enhance opportunities for learning, create greater interaction between students, and provide a focus for career conversations. Activities include peer learning sessions to enable experienced students to pass on ‘know-how' to new students and a seminar series featuring successful researchers and professionals.
