The School of Music will teach its last students in 2013/14, after which the Music building will become home to UEA's Music Centre under UEA's Director of Music, Dr. Sharon Choa, who will continue to oversee and encourage music-making, including the flourishing choirs and orchestras, whose members include staff and students from across the University, the city and beyond.

Links will also continue with the University's professional orchestra in residence, Chamber Orchestra, Anglia.

The Music Centre provides a home for all UEA students with an interest in Music, and an opportunity for those who wish to join the orchestra and/or choir, to improve their musical skills and to perform with others. For those students with the right musical qualifications, there are scholarships available. Those interested in applying for a scholarship should state that in their UCAS application, and be ready to audition if they are called to interview.
