Planned service downtimes
Details of planned service downtimes are provided here. These downtimes are essential for maintenance of systems and for new developments and service improvements to take place. We will always try to consult with users to agree times when there is going to be the least impact on teaching, learning or the business of the university and we will endeavour to give as much notice as possible of any downtime. Changes to Floor 0 of the Library during Summer 2010
Building on the success of our recent work on Floor 0 of the Library, we are planning to make better use of the remaining space on that floor by redesigning the main entrance and improving access to the building, and redesigning the layout and associated working practices to better meet service delivery needs. New room booking functionality is now live
We are pleased to announce that the new ad-hoc room booking functionality is live and can be used to book events taking place from 1st September 2010 onwards. The new functionality allows both the room search and request to take place via e:Vision, removing the need to email the Room Bookings Office. AVS equipment can also be booked via e:Vision and this can be attached either to an event or independent of a room booking. Additional functionality will be released in August giving appropriate staff access to module and student timetables. Read more

News Reader service closing down: 31 July 2010
JANET's News Reader service will be closing down as of 31 July 2010. This will affect users whose mail client is configured to point to uea.jnrs.ja.net in order to access NTTP news groups. Alternative news reader services are available on the Web including the BBC, Reuters and Google. Read more
