Information Services aims to provide effective and integrated IT and Library Services and support for teaching, learning, research and administration across the University.

Current Service Status

  • Problems with accessing external websites

    We would like to apologise for the continuing problems with some external websites, and the delivery of a small volume of outbound external email. While the situation has improved slightly since this morning, IT staff will continue to work on a resolution into this evening, and expect to be working over the weekend to resolve the problems as quickly as possible. A further service update will be issued by the IT Helpdesk on Monday morning, and we would like to apologise again for any inconvenience this outage may be causing. Read more

    The Library will be open for access by holders of valid UEA campus cards ONLY from 00:01 on Monday 4 June until 08:00 on Wednesday 6 June. Helpdesks will not be open during this time. Read more

    Email upgrade for all staff and postgraduate research students

    As previously communicated, all Staff and PGR email will be migrated over this summer to a new email system (Microsoft Exchange 2010). Migrations will commence the week beginning 14th May until the end of August, and will be scheduled as a phased process. Read more

  • Study spaces during the University main examination period

    Study spaces during the University main examination period

    We anticipate that the Library will be very busy during the examination period from the end of April until mid-June. In response to requests from other users, Library staff will be clearing spaces which are unoccupied for longer than 30 mins to enable others to study. This includes pcs which may be logged off.
