In the 2011 Good University Guide the School of Education and Lifelong Learning was rated 2nd out of 75 institutions in the UK for Education.

We are committed to excellence in all we do. Our programmes of Initial Teacher Education have received the highest gradings from OfSTED inspectors. We lead the region on quality training and development in Early Years Professional Status, and our Masters and Doctoral research programmes attract students from across the United Kingdom and all over the world, and many of our graduates now occupy senior positions in policy-making and in higher education.

We offer an innovative and exciting BA Educational Studies and the recently launched BA Physical Education and Sport to meet the growing national demand for academic studies in the field of education. In addition to these full-time, three year degrees, we also offer the full-time, one year BSc Physical Education and Sport top up degree and the BA Professional Studies (offered on a full-time and part-time basis).

We also provide programmes in Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning. Our courses are designed to meet a variety of educational needs for all ages across East Anglia, and are part of our commitment to the value of learning for all.
