Auction and silent auction
About Starting Bid:
Starting Bid is a combined live and silent auction of contemporary art to be held in the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts in Norwich . The event will mark the official launch of the Emma Jonathan Fund.
Artworks created by international, national and local artists - professional and non-professional – will be auctioned with the proceeds going to the fund. In addition to donations by artists, galleries and individuals, the silent auction will include art-related packages and tours of museums, collections, and architectural sites by staff from the School. Starting Bid is the first of a series of exciting student-led fundraising initiatives to be held annually to contribute to the fund.
About the fund:
The Emma Jonathan Fund is named after a History of Art student who died in a accident shortly before her graduation ceremony in 2008. Established in 2012-13 by students from the School of Art History & World Art Studies, the fund supports undergraduate study-related travel and postgraduate study in the School.
