In 2022, UEA was awarded Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) funding from the Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the Medical Research Council (MRC), totalling £946,800.
Only 32 universities were awarded AHRC IAAs, and in that year it was a highly competitive field with the most applications of any UKRI IAA received to date.
UEA was one of only 35 universities to receive an MRC IAA award. These awards will build on the success of UEA’s previous IAAs (ESRC, NERC and BBSRC) in supporting a range of projects, strengthening our existing strategic research partnerships, and developing new external relationships.
