Meet the team

Dr. Rachel ChesterDr Rachel Chester is Lecturer in Physiotherapy at University of East Anglia (UEA). She currently practices privately as a freelance physiotherapist at the Sportspark, UEA and has practised privately in the UK and abroad and in the NHS for over 30 years. Rachel has published internationally on a number of musculoskeletal areas. As part of her PhD, Rachel led a prospective multicentre study of over 1000 patients with shoulder pain, to identify prognostic factors associated with the outcome of physiotherapy management. The study highlighted the importance of patient beliefs and expectations as predictors of the outcome of physiotherapy. Rachel continues to publish and disseminate the results and their implications for clinical practice nationally and internationally. 


Helena DaniellHelena works clinically at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, specialising in musculoskeletal outpatients. She is the Practice Development and Research lead physiotherapist at the hospital and has been involved in several research studies.Helena graduated from UEA with a BSc in Physiotherapy, and subsequently completed a Postgraduate Diploma with the Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine. She is an associate tutor, lecturing at the UEA. She has published in National and International journals. Dr. Felix NaughtonDr Felix Naughton is a Registered Health Psychologist (Health and Care Professions Council), a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a full member of the Division of Health Psychology (DHP). He was awarded an academic fellowship from the Society for the Study of Addiction (2014-2016) and is an Assistant Editor for the journal Addiction. He has served on multiple scientific committees, including the DHP, the European Health Psychology Society (EHPS), the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco Europe (SRNT-E) and the UCL Centre for Behaviour Change Digital Health and Wellbeing conference (co-chair of committee for 2019). He is also a topic expert for the new Behaviour change: digital and mobile health interventions advisory committee for NICE.
