The School of Economics and the Centre for Behavioural and Experimental Social Science at the University of East Anglia are holding our second Discrimination and Diversity Workshop on 20 and 21 June 2022.

The event will be held virtually, given the ongoing uncertainty around the pandemic.

Our first run of the workshop was incredibly successful, and we managed to put together an exceptionally high-quality program.

For the second iteration of the workshop, we are pleased to have the following special speakers confirmed:

  • Ana Maria Ibáñez (Universidad de los Andes and Interamerican Development Bank)

  • Nagore Iriberri (University of the Basque Country)

  • Astrid Kunze (NHH Norwegian School of Economics)

It is also our pleasure to welcome invited speakers to chair and lead discussions in paper sessions dedicated to these topics:

  • LGBTQ+ Individuals (by Patrick Button, Tulane University)
  • Urban Diversity (by Eric Chyn, Dartmouth College)
  • Race and Ethnicity (by Conrad Miller, UC Berkeley)
  • Gender (by Olga Stoddard, Brigham Young University)

We especially encourage submissions from early-career researchers and doctoral students, and from all geographic areas. This year, the School of Economics and the Centre for Behavioural and Experimental Social Science at UEA will also be funding two Best Paper Awards worth £500 each, specifically targeted at recognizing and promoting the excellent work by junior researchers.

Given the virtual format of the workshop, we will have sessions that cater to different time zones as much as possible.

To submit your paper to the workshop, please complete our online form. An extended abstract (4,000 characters, or about 500 words) will be required.
