Our collaboration with The University of Law (ULaw) makes us the ideal place to pursue your ambition to become a lawyer.
If you are aiming to become a solicitor, you are now able to complete both your academic and vocational study with us.
You can study ULaw’s LPC at our campus in Norwich if, on or before 31 August 2021, you completed, started, accepted an offer, or paid a non-refundable deposit for one of the following:
the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) / the Common Professional Examination
the MA Law
the Legal Practice Course (LPC)
a period of recognised training (also known as a training contract)
The LPC bridges the gap between academic study and training in a law firm. It means you will not have to move away from Norwich before taking up employment with a law firm.
ULaw’s LLM Legal Practice (SQE1&2) course is designed for graduates who want to qualify as a solicitor using the new SQE route to practice and also gain a Master’s award. It focusses on the skills that employers are seeking so that you can enhance your academic knowledge while preparing for the realities of life in legal practice, that’s why you’ll receive four weeks guaranteed Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) within ULaw’s Legal Advice Clinics. This course will ensure you’re fully prepared for your career as a solicitor, as well as success in the SQE exams.
ULaw’s SQE1 Preparation course and SQE2 Preparation course are for those who wish to qualify as a solicitor in England and Wales using the Solicitor Qualifying Examination (SQE) pathway to qualification. The courses will prepare you for the SRA’s centralised SQE1 and SQE 2 assessments.
We’re confident that The University of Law's courses are the best preparation for entering legal practice by offering you the skills to succeed in the business world. After all, The University of Law is the preferred Legal Practice Course training provider to more than 30 major law firms.
