Next Day Special Delivery (within the UK)
This is intended to ensure that items reach their destination no later than 1pm on the next working day after they are posted. Next Day Special Delivery requires a signature on receipt. We normally issue documents within the UK by standard Second Class post, but if you would like us to issue them by Next Day Special Delivery then current Royal Mail rates apply. Full details of this service are available on the Royal Mail Website (within the UK).
Please note that requesting the Royal Mail "Next Day Special Delivery" option does not mean that the University will be able to prepare and dispatch the requested document the day after receipt of the request.
International Special Delivery (outside the UK)- Royal Mail
We normally issue documents overseas by International Standard delivery, but are able to use special delivery services, subject to an additional charge.
There are two international Royal Mail services that we use. These are:
- International Signed
- International Tracked & Signed
Please note that neither of these Royal Mail services are available to all countries, therefore we will use whichever service is available for the delivery address provided. If both are available then "International Tracked & Signed" will be used.

The cost of International Special Delivery depends on the size of the envelope needed to post your documents.
- Small envelope (A5 size) - Used for small numbers of transcripts or To Whom It May Concern letters.
- Large envelope (A4 size) - Used for replacement parchments. Also used if the number of requested transcripts or letters cannot fit into the smaller envelope.

DHL Courier Service (outside of UK only)
For an additional fee of £35.00 per delivery address we can offer to dispatch documents by DHL Courier Service to most countries. Please contact the Student Records Office for further details.
