Fees and contracts

We have Nursery fees and holiday / retainer fees which are outlined below.

UEA Nursery Fees

UEA Nursery Fees for the period 1 August 2023 to 31 July 2024

Full-time places (10 sessions per week) will incur lower costs per session than part-time places (4-9 sessions per week).

UEA Nursery Holiday / Retainer Fees

From the 1st of August 2023 the holiday fees for Full Year Contracts will be 50% of the weekly cost for 7 weeks in a full year and pro rata to a full year if the period of time is less than a year. A deduction for holiday fees will be applied each month. 

From the 1st of August 2023 the retainer for Academic Contracts to reserve a place for the following year, will be 50% of the weekly cost for 7 weeks. Academic contracts will pay the retainer over the summer vacation period.

UEA Salary Sacrifice Scheme

The following scheme is for employees of the University to receive tax-free childcare in respect of children placed in the UEA Nursery. Visit our Salary Sacrifice Schemes web page for more information (log-in required).

Early Education funding 

For 3 and 4 year olds eligible for funding, UEA Nursery offers the Universal entitlement of 570 hours per year. Children are able to access up to 15 hours of free Early Education per week for a minimum of 38 weeks per year. To be eligible your child must have turned three by these dates:

1 April to 31 August – Eligible for a funded place at the start of the Autumn term
1 September to 31 December – Eligible for a funded place at the start of the Spring Term
1 January to 31 March – Eligible for a funded place at the start of the Summer term
