Be at the forefront of education

Education at UEA is about more than what happens in the classroom. We are leaders in several transformative areas, such as:

  • Improving access to learning

  • Enhancing digital literacy

  • Championing inclusion

  • Supporting underrepresented groups

We are also home to the UNESCO Chair of Adult Literacy and Learning for Social Transformation - an initiative dedicated to addressing inequalities in the world’s most underserved communities through adult literacy.

Some of our other ground-breaking work includes:

  • Child online mental health research: Shaping how education responds to digital challenges

  • Boys’ engagement in mathematics: Investigating why boys disengage from math and creating solutions

As a student, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with staff on research, work with local schools on consultancy projects, and help shape policy both locally and nationally.
