Middle Eastern Student Ambassador
Hi, I am Lana and I am the new ambassador for the middle East and Gulf region. Currently I am on my second year of an undergraduate degree in Biomedicine. To be completely honest the main reason I chose UEA for my studies was that it’s one of the top ranked universities in the UK with more than 95.5% of its graduates working or starting further studies in the first 6 months after graduating. As an academic person this really encouraged me to apply to UEA and even better it’s worth mentioning how helpful it is that we have all our lectures recorded and posted online for easy access whenever we needed them. However, even though I joined the university solely based on its academic reputation, UEA has so much more to offer from great social events to more than 57 sport clubs for students to join. Apart from that I have to say that I do love the massive campus and its great amenities providing you with everything you need, if I had to choose a favourite spot of campus it has to be the benches by the lake where I do yoga twice a week.
At the moment I am renting a flat in the heart of Norwich with a river view which I adore and even though Norwich is a small city there’s always something fun happening. My favourite spot in town is the Sicilian pizza stand in the market where you can get some of the best Pizza in England!!
It’s not easy being away from home but studying abroad is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, you get to experience great things and meet people from all around the world and for me this made me realise how similar we all are no matter how different our culture could be.
I am here to help and answer any questions you might have about life at UEA so please don’t hesitate to contact me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or over at our Facebook page.
Apart from academics, my life at UEA is thrilling. I got the opportunity to meet and work with so many people from different backgrounds, which is very interesting. I have also joined many societies here on campus, which keep me busy most of the time. When I am not busy attending socials, I love exploring the beautiful city of Norwich.
So far being a student at UEA has been everything I wished for and more. So, if like me you value a first-class education as much as the experience the university provides, then UEA would definitely be the perfect place for you.
