We believe that success is what you say it is.
Whether it’s passing exams, going to university, or being welcomed onto an apprenticeship, we’re here to help you unleash your full potential.
We’re ready to help you explore a future full of opportunity. We’ll work with you to develop your skills, enhance your studies and shape your goals for the future.
We work with selected schools across Norfolk, and to take part in Future Forward you need to be nominated by your teacher. If you’ve found yourself reading this webpage and you haven’t been nominated by your teacher, have a chat with them to find out if you could take part or not.
As part of Future Forward, you’ll get:
Individual, tailored one-to-one and group sessions with one of our Student Learning Mentors
Support to develop skills such as adaptability, autonomy, communication, critical thinking, leadership and researching
Opportunities to socialise, build networks and collaborate with other Future Forward students
You could even receive a contextual offer from UEA if you decide you want to study with us. A contextual offer simply means you could be offered a place on a course with reduced entry requirements.
* Subject to course exclusions and terms and conditions.
Sounds great, right? Hear what our students said about their Future Forward journeys…
Future forward has provided a myriad of ways to help me improve skills that have enabled me to apply for university.
Year 12 student
Future Forward has provided me with activities to do, such as the research project, that have meaning and are useful for me later on. It's helped me set goals and link what I'm doing to the skills I'm developing.
Year 10 student
I feel like it's really helped me stand out as a student. And it's a comforting thing that I can rely on because if I want to work on something, such as a personal skill, then Future Forward would and could help me with that development.
Year 11 student
Before I started the Future Forward scheme, I was really nervous and struggled with public speaking, so I knew I wanted to work on that and turn a weakness into a strength. And now after spending time working on it, I feel a lot more confident and actually really enjoy public speaking!

It's just a really great opportunity for anyone who's looking to actively develop themselves and expand their personal and communicative skills.

Future Forward has two parts: mentoring and events.
Mentoring - you’ll spend time with your very own Student Learning Mentor once every three weeks. They’ll come to your school or college and chat to you about lots of different things in sessions that are totally tailored to you. Don’t worry, we’ll make all the arrangements with your teachers about what lessons you can miss.
Events – there’s students all over Norfolk taking part in Future Forward and you’ll get to meet lots of them. Working together you’ll develop even more skills and get to have lots of fun along the way.
You need to be nominated by your teacher to take part in Future Forward. If you have great, read on. If you haven’t been nominated, then have a chat with your teacher to see if you’re eligible to take part.
Once you’ve been nominated you need to let your teacher know that you’d like to take part. And that’s it, we’ll sort out the rest. We’ll be in touch with you about the next steps.
