We rely on the support of teachers and advisers to help keep prospective students up to date with the latest higher education news.

To help with this, we’ve put together some FAQS below. These are updated regularly when there are important updates to share.

If any of your questions aren’t answered, please get in touch with the team at schools@uea.ac.uk.

Are you able to visit my school or college?

We're pleased to confirm that we're able to return to in person delivery at our partner schools. We're taking precautions to ensure the safety of our staff, as well as you and your students. You can expect our staff to:

  • ask for your school/college risk assessment so we can familiarise ourselves with your practices
  • adhere to NHS safe behaviours
  • wear face shields whilst presenting
  • complete lateral flow tests twice a week.

We're also able to deliver virtually if your school/college isn't in a position to accept outside guests.

Are Open Days back in person?

Our in-person Open Days are back, and will be taking place on 23 October or 20 November (subject to COVID-19 guidelines).

For those who can't make it to campus, our Virtual Open Day will still be available and offers a wealth of content on demand. Online or on campus, however your students choose to visit UEA, they’ll be able to discover more about their subject, take a tour and speak to current students.

My student has a question about their application, who should they contact?

The best place to start is with our admissions team. Drop them a line at admissions@uea.ac.uk or chat online Monday to Friday.

Do you offer any information or guidance specifically for teachers?

We know the Higher Education sector can be ever changing, which is why we're pleased to offer workshops for you and your colleagues on how to support your students through the UCAS process, as well as workshops on what universities are looking for in references.

We also have a monthly podcast, which is a convenient way to keep up to date with Higher Education news and events. These are available throughout the year, culminating in our annual conference for teachers, Nurturing Bright Futures. Keep an eye on our webpage for further details.

What financial support is available for students?

At UEA, we believe that everyone should have access to a quality education, regardless of their financial circumstances. We have a range of scholarships and additional funding options for UK, EU and International students. Bursaries are also available for UK students.

What qualifications do you accept?

We accept a wide range of qualifications. All of our courses have an entry requirements tab and you can check these by using our course search. If students have any queries, our admissions team will be able to provide advise tailored to their specific requirements.

Has learning at university returned to 'normal'?

We're taking precautions to keep our campus safe, however life on campus has largely returned to normal.

Do you have any information I can share with my students to use in their own time?

Absolutely - find blogs, videos, worksheets and infographics in our Resource Centre. Filter it by audience and year group to see resources covering all aspects of higher education.

There's resources for teachers, advisers, young people, parents and carers so please do share the link far and wide. We'll be adding to it all the time so why not bookmark it for easy finding in the coming weeks?
