My UEA Story: Habiba

My name is Habiba and I studied psychology at UEA. I chose UEA because I wanted to understand behaviour and the human mind within an internationally renowned, and research-oriented teaching model in a multicultural environment. Additionally, UEA is a top-ranked university that excels at bringing academic rigour and student satisfaction together.

My academic life at UEA was wonderful. As an international student you get a lot of support from the Student Life International team, Dean of Students office not to mention your seminar leaders and lecturers, everyone is always happy to help. However, the course involved plenty of independent study and critical thinking, which offered a nice balance. UEA lets you tailor your degree based on your interests, an additional benefit not offered by many universities. This allows you specialise in your field of interest early on.

Apart from academics, my life at UEA was thrilling. I got the opportunity to meet and work with so many people from different backgrounds, which was very interesting. I also joined many societies here on campus, which kept me busy most of the time. When I was not busy attending socials, I loved exploring the beautiful city of Norwich and going to the LCR on the weekends.

Being a student at UEA was everything I wished for and more. So, if like me you value a first-class education as much as the experience the university provides, then UEA would definitely be the perfect place for you.
