My UEA Story: Future Pump
We used the CareerCentral Internship Programme to appoint Environmental Science student Helen Mallett to a three-month internship. As a startup we have lots of projects on the go and needed some specific help with a couple of short projects, this seemed an ideal opportunity for an intern.
Helen’s role has covered a lot, even within the short time she was with us, from starting with the communications team creating blog content for our social media accounts, to taking the lead on digital bug fixing on a new data logger we are developing.
We have benefited from a new energy within the team, new ways of looking at problems and having an extra pair of hands has accelerated projects which would have been largely stagnant until we found the UEA Internship Programme.
