An e-Learning module on ‘Research Integrity and Ethics’ has been developed for UEA staff by the UREC Chair, RIN’s Research Integrity Team, the Learning Technologists in the Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning (CTEL) and the Digital Learning Team in the Organisational Development Services (ODS). The course has been endorsed by UREC and the Research Executive and is now available to complete in UEA LearnUpon (UEA login required).
The course focuses on the UEA way, and research excellence in any of our disciplines or services being built on high standards of research integrity and ethics practices. The UEA Research Integrity and Ethics course is mandatory for:
All new UEA Academic staff and Technicians to complete within 4 weeks of joining UEA.
New UEA Ethics Review Committee Chairs and Members.
The UEA Research Integrity and Ethics course is recommended for:
Existing UEA Academic staff and Technicians to complete as it will provide a valuable refresher and Research Integrity training is now a mandatory requirement for receipt of grant funding from many funders.
New and existing Faculty and Central Professional Services staff who regularly support/advise others in this area, e.g. support the UEA Ethics Review Committees, and/or undertake research activities themselves, e.g. the Business Intelligence Unit and the Outreach Team.
