We regularly need volunteers to participate in paid research studies. Studies will usually take place at the University of East Anglia. No special skills or background is required to participate, although some studies may have certain criteria that you must meet to be able to take part. Participants are given full information about the purpose of the research prior to testing.
Eligibility criteria
To participate in research studies at the School of Psychology, you must be 18 or above.
Registration
Once you have filled out the registration form, you will usually receive an email confirming that your details have been placed on our contact list within 5 working days. Please note that during busy periods this may be longer. Once you have been added, you will then receive regular mailings announcing forthcoming research studies. This does not commit you to doing anything and you may withdraw your name from the list at any time.
Information about studies
You will receive emails periodically, inviting you to participate in research studies for which you might be eligible. Each email will provide details of the study and an email address of the researcher to contact should you wish to take part.
When you find a study that interests you please read the study description, time and location of the session carefully before signing up. You should only sign up for a session if you intend to participate and you must arrive on time to be eligible to participate and to receive payment. All our research studies have been through our Ethical Application Process which is mandatory for any participant studies taking place in the School.
Privacy policy
When you register, you will be required to provide some personal details. We use this information solely to determine your eligibility for studies and to understand if you need any adjustments or additional support. Your personal data will only be used for research purposes within the School of Psychology at UEA and will not be shared with any third parties.
