Publication of the final report, 17 May 2017
The Secretary General of the Council published ‘Understanding the EU Civil Service: The General Secretariat of the Council’ and its statistical appendices on 17 May 2017. The report, authored by Sara Connolly, Hussein Kassim, and Francesca Vantaggiato, addressed the main themes covered in the research and was written for an internal audience. The research will inform a series of conference papers and publications.

Presentation of findings to staff, 17 January 2017
Professors Hussein Kassim and Sara Connolly discussed the overall findings of their research at an open meeting of Council Secretariat staff in the Justus Lipsius building on 17 January 2017. Their presentation was followed by a lively Q&A. The event was attended by 300 members of staff and livestreamed to a further 500 at their desks.
