Highly innovative across a broad range of topics Highly innovative across a broad range of topics

Research in Pharmacy is highly innovative in its breadth of topics, which are encompassed in two main themes:

Much of our research is cross-disciplinary, with collaborations within and between themes and with researchers across the Norwich Research Park.

World Class Future Science

Norfolk is home to the Norwich Research Park, a cluster of research organisations comprising the University of East Anglia, three BBSRC-funded research institutes: the John Innes Centre (JIC), Institute for Food Research (IFR) and The Earlham Institute (EI) as well as the Sainsbury Laboratory and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).

They are working together to tackle the major challenges facing all of us in the 21st Century – the sustainability of our environment; our food supplies and healthy ageing. There are over 2500 scientists working to find realistic and practical solutions; the NRP has the infrastructure and support to translate these discoveries into commercially successful business.

Healthy ageing
