PGR Students have access to dedicated PGR study space and to appropriate facilities and equipment having regard to the nature of the research to be undertaken. Details are usually set out in the offer letter to successful candidates. In addition, there is access to dedicated PGR training/seminar/lecture space on the top floor of the Zicer Building which caters specifically for PGR Students' Personal and Professional Development programmes (PPD). Much of the FMH Graduate School's PPD programme takes place here. This space is about to undergo a major refurbishment to enhance the area and its facilities which include a small kitchen and some casual seating.
All PGR students have access to the University library which has a separate PGR study area. In addition, the facilities offered by the Union of UEA Students are open to PGR Students. There is a Graduate Students' bar which caters for all postgraduate students (taught or research).
There are opportunities for PGR students to meet through interactions within their School, within the Faculty (for example via research seminars or the PPD programme) and with students from other Faculties (via the PPD programme) and via social outlets, including PostgraduateSU.
