Nurturing an outstanding research environment
The School of Health Sciences is a thriving postgraduate research (PGR) community offering both full and part-time doctoral studies. Our postgraduate researchers benefit from being part of a faculty-wide graduate school, which provides focused support and development opportunities alongside first-rate research facilities.
MSc in Clinical Research
We have been awarded a contract to run a fully funded MSc in Clinical Research for non-medical practitioners. This course is funded by Health Education England and administered by the National Institute of Health Research, and can lead to fully funded doctoral study and beyond. This is just one of several Masters degrees, including Masters by Research, that we offer.
Supporting your research
PGR projects span all our research themes. Your research project will receive expert support and can be enhanced by engaging with user groups, collaborators and external organisations. You will have access to a broad and comprehensive range of opportunities to enhance your personal, professional and career skills. Our staff can supervise a wide range of subject areas and are experienced in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods. We have outstanding facilities for conducting experimental research which enable us to measure physiological and neurophysiological function and assess the efficacy of therapeutic interventions.
